Scott Curtis has been a painter and designer for 30 years. His career has included commissioned artwork, as well as industrial, product and interactive design. As a designer, Scott has been a creative director and art director with a wide range of companies: Studio Rouge,,, Concert Technology, Virtus, Luminosa, AbacusIP, Machina Design and Sqor Sports.

As a painter, Scott has focused primarily on oil on wood panel paintings. But these are done in a wide and imaginative variety of genres and distinctive styles. With his playful eye and exacting technique, Scott has wildly imaginative approaches to everything from portraits, landscapes, interiors, still lifes, abstracts, and interiors. His consistent approach is to establish a rigorous set of conflicting obstructions or constraints for each piece. And then he attempts to work and play within those obstructions in ways that will create the most resonant effects possible for that work.

Born and raised in Michigan, he spent much of his career in Northern California. Scott is now based in Durham, North Carolina. His 30-year career has garnered recognition at the highest levels of fine art and design. His work is in major collections from Cambridge, MA to Silicon Valley.
